May 14 - Breakfast at the hotel. Afterward, we will take a flight to Kitaakita. Upon Arrival: Take a bus tour of Lake Towada, Oirase Gorge, and Mt. Hakkoda. Evening: Arrive at your accommodation in Kogaku Onsen, a famous hot spring area. Accommodation: Hoshino Resort Aomoriya or a hotel of equivalent standard.

May 15 - Breakfast at the hotel. Sightseeing in the Shimokita Peninsula: vsit the mysterious Mount Osore, a sacred site known as the gateway between this world and the afterlife. Enjoy a local specialty, tuna rice bowls, for lunch in Oma. In the afternoon, take a ferry to explore the scenic Hotokegaura, renowned for its stunning rock formations. Evening: Return to your hotel and enjoy the onsen. Accommodation: Hoshino Resort Aomoriya or a hotel of equivalent standard.

May 16 - Today’s journey takes us to Iwate. Visit Hachimantai National Park, famous for its melting snow in mid-May and vibrant spring greenery. Explore Mirror Pond and the crater lake, Hachimannuma. Continue to Morioka City and try the local specialty, “Wanko Soba,” where you can challenge yourself to see how many bowls you can eat! After sightseeing in the city, head to Hanamaki Onsen. Accommodation: Hanamaki Onsen Kashoen or a hotel of equivalent standard.

May 17 - Explore the legacy of Kenji Miyazawa, a renowned poet and author from Hanamaki. Visit Hanamaki Higashi High School, the alma mater of Shohei Ohtani. Travel by bus to Jodogahama in Miyako Bay, a beautiful coastal area that was heavily impacted by the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011. After sightseeing, ride the Sanriku Railway to Kamaishi, enjoying the scenic coastline and reflecting on the damage and recovery from the tsunami. From Kamaishi, travel back to Hanamaki Onsen via roads built on the destroyed railway tracks. Accommodation: Hanamaki Onsen Kashoen or a hotel of equivalent standard.

May 18 - Visit to Tamagawa Onsen, famous for its healing radium hot springs, where you can enjoy a foot bath experience. We will then stop at Kakunodate, known as the “Little Kyoto of Tohoku.” At Oga Peninsula, famous for the Namahage folklore, we will observe a Namahage performance at the Namahage Museum. Evening: Enjoy dinner at Akita Airport before boarding a flight back to Haneda. Check in to the Haneda Tokyu Hotel. Free time after arrival.
